Many friends have asked us why we are doing this. Why would we leave our jobs behind and embark on this project? A project that, right now, presents us far more uncertainties than benefits. The answer is passion. We are passionate about what we do. We are passionate about languages and computational linguistics. Deep inside ourselves, we feel the irresistible urge to find new solutions to the new challenges emerging in today’s world. Why? Because this is what we have been trained to do. It is what we have been doing for many years now. We are firm believers in the value of innovation. We want to bring cutting-edge research to new fields and new markets. Our commercial venture, Sciling, is about exactly that: creating new approaches to the new challenges emerging in our globalized, highly interconnected world.
